Pedro Santana

Bio

Pedro obtained his Bachelor degree in Telematics engineering from the Universidad de Colima, Mexico 2002. In the Universidad de Colima he collaborated developing modules and updates of SIABUC software and on the projects "El Dorado Digital library" and "Latino V" sponsored by the UNESCO.

In August 2002 he was appointed Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at Universidad del Valle de Atemajac.

Later, he received a Masters degree (with honors) in Computer Science at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), Mexico in 2005. He is affiliated with the Calafia Research Lab at CICESE Research Center in Mexico doing research on ubicomp and medical informatics.

From November 2005 to October 2006 he joined CREATE-NET research center, working in the MISE group.

Now, he is a Lecturer at the School of Telematics of the Universidad de Colima, México.

His research focus is on ubiquitous computing, human-computer interaction, mobile computing, autonomous agents, software engineering and medical informatics.
